What we do

Our programs

ICONS works across three priority areas, meeting urgent needs today while building the conditions for safety and peace tomorrow.

Program one

Emergency relief

When crisis hits, families need help fast. ICONS supports food assistance, clothing, shelter materials, and basic aid, and helps coordinate urgent care and psychosocial referrals for people affected by violence and displacement.

Our relief work focuses on communities whose needs are immediate and severe, and whose suffering has too often gone unseen.

Program two

Protection and advocacy

We raise the voices of people facing violence and persecution through awareness campaigns, documentation support, public education, and policy engagement, and we carry their story into international conversations that shape the response.

Protection means standing with civilians and survivors, and holding those responsible to account.

Community members gathered peacefully for justice and peace.

Advocacy in action

Taking Nigeria's crisis to Capitol Hill

In April 2026, ICON joined the Endowment for Middle East Truth for a Capitol Hill forum on terrorism and religious violence, bringing the reality of Nigeria’s crisis directly to policymakers in Washington.

Stand with us

Turn concern into coordinated action

Every gift strengthens relief, advocacy, and recovery for communities across Nigeria and the Sahel.

Program three

Peacebuilding and resilience

Lasting safety is built, not declared. ICONS supports dialogue platforms, youth engagement, women-led recovery, interfaith cooperation, and local partnerships that reduce fragility and strengthen peace.

We invest in the relationships and livelihoods that help communities recover and stay resilient after crisis.
