Who we are

About ICONS

A humanitarian and advocacy organization serving vulnerable communities across Nigeria and the wider Sahel region.

Our organization

A regional voice for communities in crisis

The International Committee on Nigeria and the Sahel (ICONS) draws attention to violent conflict, displacement, and human suffering in Nigeria and the broader Sahel. We connect affected communities with practical support, responsible partnerships, and a stronger international voice.

ICONS expands beyond the former Nigeria-only framework to embrace the wider region, recognizing that insecurity, mass displacement, and humanitarian emergencies spread across national borders.

Our vision

Safety, dignity, and the chance to rebuild

A Nigeria and Sahel region where vulnerable communities live in safety, enjoy freedom of belief and dignity, and have access to the support that helps them rebuild after crisis.
