Who we are
About ICONS
A humanitarian and advocacy organization serving vulnerable communities across Nigeria and the wider Sahel region.
Who we are
A humanitarian and advocacy organization serving vulnerable communities across Nigeria and the wider Sahel region.
Our organization
The International Committee on Nigeria and the Sahel (ICONS) draws attention to violent conflict, displacement, and human suffering in Nigeria and the broader Sahel. We connect affected communities with practical support, responsible partnerships, and a stronger international voice.
ICONS expands beyond the former Nigeria-only framework to embrace the wider region, recognizing that insecurity, mass displacement, and humanitarian emergencies spread across national borders.
Our vision
A Nigeria and Sahel region where vulnerable communities live in safety, enjoy freedom of belief and dignity, and have access to the support that helps them rebuild after crisis.
Core commitments
Promote peace, tolerance, and community resilience.
Support victims and survivors with practical humanitarian response.
Engage institutions, partners, and citizens around lasting solutions.
Strengthen international advocacy on atrocity risks and humanitarian emergencies.
Get involved
Give, advocate, and raise your voice. Every action builds the pressure that protects the vulnerable across Nigeria and the Sahel.
What makes ICONS different
Leadership
Your support funds relief, advocacy, and peacebuilding where it is needed most.
